1963年東京生まれ。笙を宮田まゆみ、豊英秋両氏に師事、雅楽を芝祐靖氏に師事する。正倉院復元楽器である竿（う）も演奏する。ニューヨーク・リンカーンセンター・フェスティバル、フランスのルアン音楽祭、ノルウェーのウルティマフェスティバル、ラジオフランス主催Presences2000などに参加。雅楽古典曲のみならず、現代作品の演奏も数多く、各分野の音楽家やオーケストラと共演し、国内外の様々な音楽祭に出演している。let
there be lightでは作曲、笙、electronics、designもおこなう。
Mr. Ko Ishikawa is 'Sho' player. 'Sho' is a Japanese traditional wind instrument. He was born in Tokyo in 1963, and he had been learning Japanese Classic music Gagaku under his masters, Mayumi Miyata, Hideaki Bunno and Sukeyasu Shiba. He has visited Europe several times to take part in major Music Festivals in these years, and his performance of both classic and contemporary works for sho were highly regarded in Berlin, London, Vienna, Frankfurt, and in Paris.
